What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energetic form of healing in which it embraces the bodies own ability to rejuvenate itself by reducing stress and creating relaxation.
There is miraculous medicine to all disease.
“Light equals life. When you live in light and love you bring more energy into the body thus helping you live a more fulfilled and abundant life. Come out of the shadows and step into this radiant healing energy. Experience Reiki and heal the mind, body and, spirit. Bring the light in and release those blockages that are holding you back from living a superior quality of life.” –Grawben Corona C.H.t
Reiki is a form of alternative healing and energy therapy that originated in Japan in the late 19th century. It was developed by Mikao Usui, who combined elements of traditional Japanese healing practices, meditation, and spiritual development to create a system of holistic healing. The word “Reiki” is derived from two Japanese words: “rei,” which means “universal life,” and “ki,” which means “energy.”
Reiki is based on the belief that a universal life force energy flows through all living beings. When this energy is balanced and flowing freely, it promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. However, stress, illness, or emotional distress can cause disruptions or blockages in this energy flow, leading to imbalances and discomfort. Reiki practitioners aim to channel this universal energy into the recipient, restoring balance and promoting the body’s natural healing processes.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands either lightly on or just above the recipient’s body, following a series of hand positions that correspond to the body’s energy centers or chakras. The practitioner acts as a conduit for the universal energy, allowing it to flow through their hands and into the recipient’s body. The energy is said to be “intelligent” and will go where it is needed most, working on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
Some of the potential benefits of Reiki include:
1. Deep relaxation: Reiki sessions are known to induce a deep state of relaxation, which can help reduce stress and anxiety.
2. Pain relief: Many recipients report reduced pain and discomfort after Reiki sessions, as the energy works on balancing and healing affected areas.
3. Emotional healing: Reiki can help release emotional blockages and promote emotional balance, which can be particularly helpful for those dealing with grief, trauma, or emotional distress.
4. Enhanced well-being: By balancing and harmonizing the body’s energy, Reiki can promote overall well-being, improve sleep, and boost the immune system.
5. Spiritual growth: Reiki is not affiliated with any specific religion, but it can help individuals connect with their spirituality and develop a deeper sense of inner peace and purpose.
It is essential to note that Reiki should not be used as a substitute for conventional medical care but can be a valuable complementary therapy to support overall health and well-being. To ensure a safe and positive experience, it is crucial to work with a trained and qualified Reiki practitioner.
